If you haven't heard yet, reading is the only homework our scholars will have this summer! Their goal is to read 16 books and track their progress in their Summer Reader’s Notebook throughout the break.

To help them get started, we hosted our first Summer Reading Book Fair! Each scholar selected 5 books at no cost to build their personal library and fuel a summer of learning. We are excited to grow our community around books and help scholars develop the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Although Success Academy is an English-only school, we proudly welcome bilingual families: especially here at SA Bushwick, where many of our families are part of a large Spanish-speaking community.

Every day, we are inspired by our scholars’ ability to navigate multiple languages and cultures with confidence. Their bilingualism enriches our classrooms, strengthens our community, and brings unique perspectives that we deeply value.

Colors, friends, and fun! 🎨✨

Our 4th Graders had an amazing time during today’s Field Study to the Color Factory. From room to room, scholars explored immersive exhibits and discovered how artists are inspired by the vibrant world around us.

This was the last trip of this school year. We hope all of our scholars enjoyed every moment of these special experiences with our school community! 💙

Last week, we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week. While one week could never fully capture how grateful we are for our incredible teachers and staff, we hope they felt just how valued they are every single day.

Sweet treats, coffee station, professional headshots, lots of flowers, cards, and love: our staff enjoyed a week dedicated entirely to them! Just a small token of appreciation for the endless dedication they put in year-round.
