✨ “You are the light of the world.” — Matthew 5:14 ✨
Matthew 5:14–16 has been on my heart because it perfectly describes what I want to teach the children who walk through our doors at Bright Learners Academy. ❤️
Of course, I want them to learn to read, write, solve math problems, and grow academically. But more than anything, I want to teach them how to be a light in this world. 🌎
I want them to understand that being kind matters. That helping someone without expecting anything in return matters. That standing up for what is right, even when it’s hard, matters. That showing love to someone who may not always show love back matters.
I want them to know that God created each of them with a purpose. They don’t have to be the smartest, the most popular, or the best at everything to make a difference. Sometimes being a light is as simple as sitting beside someone who feels alone, offering encouragement, or choosing kindness when it would be easier not to.
Matthew 5:16 reminds us to let our light shine before others so that our good works bring glory to our Father in Heaven.
That’s what I want for these children. Not just good grades, but good hearts. Not just knowledge, but wisdom. Not just success in this world, but a relationship with the One who created them.
One day, these children will leave our classrooms and step out into a world that desperately needs more light.
My prayer is that we don’t just teach them lessons they will remember, but help them become people who make a difference wherever God leads them.
Because at the end of the day, we’re not just educating children. We’re helping raise the next generation of lights for Christ. ✝️❤️
