Sometimes, the first few minutes aren't the whole story. ❤️

Not every child walks into a photography session ready to smile.

Some are shy.
Some need a little extra reassurance.
Some need to watch, explore, play, or simply get comfortable before they're ready to let me in.
And that's okay.

I don't believe in rushing a child unnecessarily. I work efficiently while still giving each child the patience and connection they need to feel comfortable.
And sometimes, the result is a beautiful little transformation. ✨

A quiet, unsure beginning can turn into a genuine smile, sparkling eyes, and a child who is completely comfortable in front of my camera.

That's what happens when we give children the space to be themselves.

These are just a couple of the sweet faces I've already had the pleasure of photographing at Casa de Corazón. ❤️

Classic stories, genuine smiles. 🦊📚

The Fables & Fairytales set is always a favorite. Vintage book stacks, a warm storybook backdrop, a cozy lantern, and one very patient stuffed fox who somehow ends up in every kid's photo.

Bringing this one to preschools and schools across Southeast Wisconsin this fall.
