Swanson is thrilled to host an author visit with best-selling author, Aaron Reynolds, for all students in grade 2-5, this Wednesday, 9/30! Aaron Reynolds is the author of more than 50 books, including the beloved Creepy Carrots picture book series. Book #3 of his Creepy Tales chapter book series, "Yarn is Everything" was just released and students who purchase one of his books will come into the Swanson Elementary Library after the presentation to have their books personalized and signed by Aaron Reynolds! Families can order books by returning the order envelopes that were sent home or by ordering online with a credit card using the link in comments. Order forms are also available in the library. Students 4K-1st may also order books to be personalized and signed. Please reach out to Swanson Library Lead, Mrs. Pritchard ([email protected]) with questions. We are so excited for our students to have this amazing opportunity!!!

*Swanson families- it has been an absolute joy to serve you and your students in our library the last 2 years. I am excited to be taking on a new role as Brookfield Central and Wisconsin Hills Librarian this school year and will miss you all but I look forward to seeing you and your kids again when they move on to WHMS and BC! Please continue to reach out any time as I'm always here for all of you. And thank you to the Swanson PTO for their partnership- I encourage everyone to join as it's a wonderful way to support our school and meet other fantastic parents!

Join us TONIGHT for Summer Library and PTO Popsicle Playdate from 5-7:00!

Swanson PTO is providing popsicles on the playground, and the library will be open for book checkout with Mrs. Field reading a story at 6:00. Come catch up with friends, meet new Swanson Eagles, and check out great books for summer reading!

Any crafty Swanson students or siblings age 10-12 looking for free fun at the Brookfield Public Library next Tuesday? You could come to our first Swanson Summer Library and then head over to the BPL. A reminder that our first open library time is this Tuesday, 6/23, from 12:30-2:30! Please come and bring friends/neighbors who would like to check out some great books for summer reading!

As this school year comes to a close, it is such fun to reflect on all of the amazing moments we had in the Swanson Elementary School library this year with our incredible 800 students!

Just last week, our 5K-5th grade students were excited to learn about the Brookfield Public Library's Summer Reading Program and all of the incredible events happening every week all summer long at the Public Library from Ms. Michelle of the BPL!
