Another day & more advocacy!

Thank you to LEAP Cleveland, Services for Independent Living, Inc. (SIL), & Disability Rights Ohio for hosting today’s town hall!

A room filled with people with lived experiences, advocates, workers, organizations, and state reps.

We appreciate having a place to share, listen, and keeping the conversation going!

We need to keep the conversations going. We need to keep talking & bringing those with disabilities into the conversation.

Advocacy starts with bringing people together, sharing experiences, and making sure the voices of people with disabilities are heard. 💪

AP2BM was proud to facilitate a People First of Northeast Ohio meeting focused on advocating at the legislative level and exploring how individuals can use their voices to help create meaningful change.

The conversation included valuable information from Disability Rights Ohio, along with insight from TJ Sikora, who shared his perspective as a person with lived experience. Having people with disabilities at the center of conversations about policies that impact their lives is essential to building stronger advocacy efforts.

We’re excited to continue supporting self-advocates as they learn, connect, speak up, and make their voices heard by the people making decisions in our communities and at the Statehouse.

🎨💙 Tie-Dye Fun at Common Ground! 💜🌈

What a colorful day! A Place 2B Me had an amazing time getting creative with tie-dye at Common Ground. From choosing colors to creating one-of-a-kind designs, everyone had a chance to express themselves, have fun, and make some great memories together! 🥰

We love opportunities that bring people together, encourage creativity, and let everyone’s unique personality shine. ✨

Our 3rd Annual Wing Ding & Karaoke Fundraiser is almost here!

Join us Saturday, September 12 for a night of wings, karaoke, raffles, fun, and community. We are also collecting donations of bottles of liquor, wine, and spirits for our popular booze basket raffle.

 A special thank you to our friends over at LEAD Learn Empower Advocate Discover for displaying and sharing our info at their resource table for this event today!

Other duties called today & we couldn’t swing this, as much as we wanted to be there to spread the word about A Place 2B Me. But we are so appreciative for our partners on this journey.

Please give them a follow on their socials as they have many resources to help children through the school years! They are wonderful advocates and just amazing ladies!!
