To honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11, our SEGA students created their own version of Feathers of a Phoenix, a memorial displayed at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.

Originally created at America’s Camp, a summer camp for children who lost loved ones in the September 11 attacks, Feathers of a Phoenix serves as a powerful memorial to those who were lost and a reminder of the resilience that followed.

Our students honored this legacy by creating their own feathers—some paying tribute to the victims and heroes of 9/11, while others expressed their own thoughts and feelings about loved ones they hold close.

Through this project, our students had the opportunity not only to learn about September 11, but also to reflect on remembrance, loss, love, and resilience.

We remember. We honor. We carry their stories forward. ❤️🇺🇸
