Pink Fridays are here! 🩷 Let’s wear pink, spend green, and buy black!
This June, we are calling on you to show up, show out, and show the world what it looks like when we invest in our own.
Let’s FEED THE MOVEMENT by dining at Black-owned restaurants, cafes, bakeries, catering companies, food trucks, and beverage brands — every bite counts!

Yesterday, our Empower Our Families Committee hosted a Mental Health Forum titled, “What Is Self-Care?”
Our speaker, Sheila Harbert, LMSW, shared the importance of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and interpersonal skills in helping individuals navigate and resolve conflict.
We also heard from AAAO Secretary Summer Bradford, LCSW, who guided attendees through the different types of self-care, as well as mindfulness and grounding strategies to support overall well-being.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this meaningful conversation on mental health and self-care! 💕💚
