1. 44 has been an incredible year in this human experience. I've learned so much about myself physically, mentally and spiritually...

2. While an injury can appear devastating, with persistence, dedication and support you can overcome the issue at hand and even rise above it...

3. I've yo-yo'd between my most lean to something that feels more natural and more "me" but there will always be a sense of body dysmorphia or pressure on myself, but I'm still learning and still growing to let go...

4. While it's part time I'm proud of my lil side gig of training and turning my gym into a lil gay gym temple. Excited to expand and grow and help more people...

5. I can sometimes appear more masc because that is what we are told strength is...however I enjoy the balance of fitness, femininity, strength, awareness. Maybe is the Libra in me or that I try to expand myself beyond a label, but this is me strong, femme, confident, and at times masc, over thinker, shy, introverted - and it's all celebrated!

6. Wellness for me this year has rapidly evolved to not just exploring physical wellness, but mental and spiritual wellness. It is lonely and scary much of the time (especially being more introverted with new things or when I'm solo) but I'm learning so much about this life and what more there is to a collective or something beyond a basic human experience. I'm grateful and excited for what's to come

7. This year marks my 45th which is odd to say - but I've been blessed even looking back on my life which has had its ups and downs, super lows but highest highs. It hasn't been easy and sometimes I am just basking in the fact I'm still here with the people I love and those I still haven't crossed paths with... I can't wait to meet you and the future me XO

Often I get asked: What is your end goal with fitness?
I don't think I have an end goal. I just want to be as fit and healthy as possible, naturally. While some folks have different goals and choices to use things to enhance their fitness or physique - it's not for me.
Do I make sure I get enough protein from food or supplemented by shakes/powder, sure. I've tried creatine but never found it to do much for me.
I'll be 45yo in a couple months and the key things that have helped me have been: consistency, nutrition, sleep and water. Some days I'm not as motivated and sure, it's hard to push myself but I showed up. It has been almost 9 years since I began this fitness journey and I'm excited to see how fitness will continue to be a part of my life. Also curious how my interest with breathwork, yoga and other practices will continue to grow. When I first started I was anxious and avoided crowed gyms or working out next to a guy bigger than me. Now I know we are all there for pretty much the same thing and I'm probably lifting heavier (or safer) than the person next to me 💪🏻

Arm Day. Decided to give the legs a break and focus on arms. I did some supersets, but made sure I was using weight that would have me at failure around the 10th rep. Most all exercises were 3-4sets with 10-12 reps. If I failed earlier than 10reps I drop the set weight in 1/2 and continue to go to failure:
Biceps:
EZ Bar Curl
DB Preacher curl
Incline hammer curl

Triceps:
DB overhead extension
Cable/Band Tricep extension
Tricep dips
