My favorite thing about what I am doing is...
The connection with the studio members and community at large.
This is my third day in a row that I'm guiding practitioners of yoga and newbies through a deeper connection to their self. I love it! Every class I teach to others is actually teaching me something!

I'm learning more about people's ideas of yoga and how mainstream society pushes perfection so much that people may be missing the meaning of yoga.
I've had new members at the studio talk about the initial intimidation they feel with stepping into the studio. They feel like they have to look a certain way, move a certain way, and keep up with every pose called to be "doing" yoga.
I love helping them realize that yoga, IMO, is just a moment or many moments of a deeper connection to self. I tell everyone in my class that poses/postures are an option and not an obligation. I always say do what serves you even if it means sitting or laying on your mat for the entire class. I even share in every class to deprogram negative self-talk that distracts from the practice.
No one should feel like their connection to themselves or YOGA is off, weird, late, inflexible, and wrong because it doesn't match the illusion presented in society.
Come as you are, type of yoga exists and is being cultivated in my offerings at the studio and privately (link in my bio) as a .
Let's meet in a way that serves you!
