We had an incredible day at BISD seniors’ “It’s Your Money” program! 💰👏 Huge shoutout to Breckenridge InterBank for sponsoring and supporting this program.

Students got a real-world glimpse into what it takes to manage finances and make everyday decisions as an adult. From budgeting and housing to transportation and groceries, each station gave them hands-on experience navigating life after high school.

One of the crowd favorites was the “Tie Station”—where students learned how to literally “tie” it all together...

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who took time out of their day to pour into these students. Your guidance, energy, and real-life insight made this event meaningful and memorable.

We are so proud of our seniors and can’t wait to see them take these skills into the real world! 💙🎓

❄️ Preparedness Matters — Especially in Winter & Emergencies ❄️

Being prepared can make all the difference during winter weather and unexpected disasters. From power outages and severe cold to emergencies that limit travel or access to resources, having a plan in place helps keep individuals and families safe, calm, and confident.

We are excited to welcome a Specialist from DAR to Stephens County to educate our Healthy Aging class on:
• Winter weather preparedness
• Emergency and disaster planning
• Staying safe during power outages
• Medication, nutrition, and health considerations during emergencies
• Simple steps to be ready before an emergency happens

This educational opportunity is especially important for older adults, as preparation supports independence, safety, and peace of mind during challenging situations.

We’re grateful for the partnership and for providing valuable resources that help our community stay informed, prepared, and resilient.

🧤❄️ Preparedness today means protection tomorrow.

We’re excited to have welcomed Watch UR BAC to BJHS! This powerful, student-focused program is designed to educate and empower students to make safe, responsible choices—especially when it comes to driving, decision-making, and peer influence.

🚗 What is Watch UR BAC?
Watch UR BAC is a nationally recognized program that promotes:
• Teen driver safety
• Smart decision-making
