Learning comes alive when subjects blend together! As part of our Innovation Cycle, 1st graders completed an exciting hands-on unit connecting literature, English Language Arts (ELA), engineering, history and fine art. After reading "The Most Magnificent Thing " and exploring Louisiana's early Clovis inhabitants, students were asked to design a "magnificent creation".

Applying clay-molding techniques, many students brought their creative concepts to life through sculpting. Some students chose to explore agricultural design by growing crops and utilizing our greenhouse to further their curiosity. They then presented their finished projects to STEM Coordinator Mr. Rap.
