STOMP Students Teaching Open Mindedness and Pride STOMP stands for Students Teaching Open Mindedness and Pride The consequences of such discrimination are long lasting, severe and sometimes deadly.

On a daily basis, in schools across America, many students are actively discriminated against because of their differences which include: race, ethnicity, age, gender, religion, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, physical characteristics and limitations, political beliefs and familial status. In fact, many of students who attempt su***de in this country do so because they are abused both verbally and physically due to their sexual identity. Discrimination based on our differences also leads to drug abuse, depression, attacks of physical violence, denial of equal opportunities for success, homelessness and other forms of social persecution. STOMP allows for students to help teach other students about tolerance. Students teach other students by example, but also through education, community service and kindness.
