Awesome thing that happened this week: the launch of the ESA's Juice (Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer) mission from French Guyana.
Juice arrive at the Jovian system in summer of 2032 to study the large moons, their compositions, and environment.
ICING ON THE CAKE:
A sloth photobombed the Juice launch livestream (It was moved to safety before liftoff). Nonetheless, the internet has adopted the sloth as a mascot of the mission and I am all about it
