The Trader's Crib Trading SPY and Healing for Women. No Financial Advice.

10/12/2026

SPY began the pre-market session showing strength above Friday’s closing price.

At the time this reel was recorded, SPY was trading around $779.83–$779.86, compared with Friday’s $778.57 close. Price had also pushed above the tight overnight consolidation visible on the two-hour chart.

The next important upside reference is $781.62, last week’s high. The question is not simply whether price touches that level—it’s whether buyers can hold above it and begin establishing acceptance through the candle bodies.

This is where patience matters. Allow price to show whether the breakout has real follow-through instead of chasing the first move of the morning.

SPY finished another bullish week near its highs—but the candles still left us with an important question: can buyers establish real acceptance above resistance?

SPY closed Friday at $778.57, approximately 1.16% higher for the week, after reaching $781.62. Price also completed both the bullish and bearish daily fair value gaps created during the week.

For the upcoming week:
• $775.14 is the first important support.
• Holding above it keeps $779.42 and $781.62 in focus.
• Below $775.14, watch $773.93, $770.44, and $769.20–$769.69.
• A wick above $781.62 is not enough—I want to see candle bodies hold there.

CPI arrives Wednesday, Thursday brings several major economic releases, and bank earnings are beginning. This is the kind of week when patience matters more than prediction.

Under the waxing crescent Moon, our theme is: build deliberately—don’t build frantically.

Was it truly a bad trade—or was it a losing trade that followed your plan?

Those are not always the same thing.

A losing trade can still begin with a valid setup, use appropriate risk, follow a predetermined stop, and be executed with discipline. A later reversal does not automatically mean you made the wrong decision with the information available at the time.

Use this carousel for your Friday trading review:

• Identify what you did well.
• Acknowledge what needs adjustment.
• Protect the rules that are still serving you.
• Separate the facts from the feelings.
• Record the lesson without rejecting yourself.

Your P/L provides information, but it does not determine your value or potential as a trader.

Have you ever followed your stop, watched price reverse, and immediately thought, “I should have stayed in”?

A later reversal does not automatically make your exit a bad decision. You couldn’t know what price would do next—but you can review whether your decision followed your trading plan.

Ask yourself:

• Did my stop fit the setup and timeframe?
• Was my position size appropriate?
• Did I follow the rules I chose before entering?

Journal what the trade can teach you without rewriting your rules from a place of frustration. Being wrong in a trade does not make you unworthy—and reentering should require a fresh qualifying setup.

Save this for your weekly review, share it with another trader, and follow The Trader’s Crib!® as we learn to trade with greater discipline, self-awareness, and trust.

Ladies, knowing when to exit a trade doesn’t always make it emotionally easy. 🤍

Tuesday’s lesson was about trade invalidation. This Wound and Wealth Wednesday explores what happens when an invalidated setup starts feeling like a judgment of who we are.

Sometimes being wrong touches an older feeling: fearing judgment, needing to prove ourselves, or believing mistakes make us less deserving.

Then “my setup didn’t work” becomes “nothing I do works.”

When I notice that voice, I can separate two things:
What happened on the chart?
What am I telling myself about it?

Reviewing my ex*****on matters. So does speaking to myself with care. I can learn from a decision without turning it into an attack on my worth.

🌙 Our waning Moon reflection: What judgment about myself am I ready to release?

What helps you speak to yourself more kindly after a difficult trading day?

Changing your mind can mean you’re respecting new information. 🤍

Today’s Tuesday Teaching concept is trade invalidation: the price action that tells you your original setup no longer holds.

Before entering, I need to know what breaks my idea and how I’ll manage the risk. If that condition happens, I follow my exit plan.

But sometimes the challenge is emotional. We’ve invested time, money, and hope—and letting go feels like admitting failure.

Have you ever recognized that feeling in a relationship, a project, or a trade?

Our waning Moon reflection is about releasing attachment. On the chart, that starts with asking:

“Am I following my setup—or trying to prove I’m right?”

Your trade idea can be wrong without YOU being a failure.

What helps you respect the boundaries in your trading plan?

Good morning, ladies! Friday’s bounce now faces an important question: can SPY hold its gap? 📊🤍

In this October 5 pre-market reel, I walk through what I’m watching on the chart:

• Whether buyers reclaim the $769–$770 area and hold above it
• Whether that strength can continue toward $772
• How price responds if it returns to Friday’s gap

If price moves below the gap’s upper edge and fails to reclaim it, I’m watching for a deeper move into the gap.

The key is how the candles respond. A brief wick and a candle close can give us different information.

This is my morning preparation: identify the levels, consider both directions, and wait for my setup.

What helps you stay patient through the opening moves?

Ladies, a green market day doesn’t always mean a green candle! 📊🤍

Friday’s SPY close was higher than Thursday’s close, but lower than Friday’s opening price. That distinction helps us understand what happened during the session.

This week’s Market & Moon Report recaps Thursday’s move beneath recent lows and recovery, Friday’s gap higher, and the completion of both prior daily fair value gaps.

For October 5–9, my focus is on:
• The open price gap between $765.65 and $767.15
• Whether buyers can reclaim $772.65 with follow-through
• How price responds around the week’s economic events

Our Moon reflection brings the focus back to us: simplify the process and protect your emotional bandwidth.

Before we close the trading week, let’s open the journal. 📖🤍

This week we explored market structure, the urge to find certainty, and choosing to sit out the chop. Now it’s time to reflect on how those lessons showed up in our own decisions.

Ask yourself:
✨ Did I adapt to market conditions?
✨ What was I feeling before taking a trade?
✨ Did I follow my plan?
✨ What will I keep, change, and release next week?

No trades this week? You still have something to journal about: what you noticed, why you waited, and how that decision felt.

Ladies, let’s give ourselves credit for thoughtful decisions—including the decision to pause.

What’s one habit you want to carry into next week?

Save these prompts, share them with a trading friend, and follow The Trader’s Crib!® as we learn, reflect, and grow together.
