Beginner mistake I see all the time, pushing out the wrong wall
Here’s the trick that actually makes it click
It’s not four walls
It’s one long snake
You break it at the start
Then just keep following it around the table
Play moves right
The snake (walls) moves left
Don’t overthink it
Just follow the snake 🐍

This was one of my favorite moments at the table as a teacher. At today’s guided play, two students had everything click. They took my beginner class about a month ago, and I always tell my students that if you keep playing, it will eventually click.
Today was that day for them.
From that point on, they won every game we played. Three for one, two for the other.
One is 97.
You’re never too old. It’s not as intimidating as you think. You just have to start. You just have to play.
