🍂 At Hazelnut Montessori, fall reminds us that growth happens in cycles and that change can be both beautiful and grounding. Our days are filled with the rustle of leaves, the scent of earth after rain, and the laughter of children as they explore the world around them. Nature is our classroom, and every moment outdoors invites curiosity, independence, and peace.

As the seasons shift, we reflect on how far we have come and dream of what is still to grow. Our vision is to continue expanding our nature-based program, to create more opportunities for children to connect with the earth in meaningful ways. This coming summer, we hope to begin planting trees and garden beds that will give children the joy of tending, nurturing, and watching life unfold.

Each season brings new possibilities for learning and connection. We are growing together, with heart, rooted in nature. 🌿

🌿✨ Hazelnut Montessori’s Forever Home ✨🌿

Today one of my teachers gave me a beautiful card that said:

“All good things always get to us, sometimes slow and sometimes like a flash. Trust the process and enjoy the ride.”

For me, this journey has been exactly that, a long, winding, and deeply meaningful ride toward manifesting Hazelnut’s forever home at 1705 Durston Rd.

This dream began 15 years ago when my first son was born. I had always felt called to work with children, but it wasn’t until he opened that door for me that the vision truly began.

After earning my Montessori credential through the Authentic Institute of Montessori, under the guidance of my mentor and dear friend Mary Ellen Maunz, I began as an assistant and slowly worked my way up. Ten years later, with one child enrolled, Hazelnut Montessori was born.

The path hasn’t always been easy, there have been challenges, tears, and lessons, but the blessings have been nothing short of life-changing.

This summer, our incredible Hazelnut community came together to make the impossible possible. Through the collective love and effort of our families, we purchased the beautiful property that is now Hazelnut’s home.

Every morning, I wake up in gratitude, for the families who have walked this journey with us, and especially for the children who have filled our classrooms with laughter, curiosity, and light. They are my purpose and my service to life. I truly believe the world will be brighter and more loving because of them.

This post is dedicated to every child, parent, and teacher who has been part of our story. Thank you for helping me manifest this dream.

🌸 With love and endless gratitude,
Yoli
