🌟 CELEBRATING CARLY WELLMAN! 🌟
Our very own Carly Wellman has been nominated by her peers for the Early Childhood Champions Award with the Greater Gallatin United Way! 🏆✨
If you’ve ever stepped foot into Carly’s classroom, you know just how well-deserved this honor is. She has a phenomenal way of turning her learning environment into something truly extraordinary. The level of creativity and attention to detail she brings to every corner of her classroom is inspiring. 🎨🌱
But beyond the beautiful environment, it’s her heart that truly shines. The extra time she takes with each child—ensuring they feel deeply loved, held, and supported—moves all of us every single day. 💕
🎓 The Journey Continues...
As if that wasn’t enough to celebrate, Carly is also soon wrapping up her Montessori teacher preparation course through IMT! This June, she will be taking the final part of her residency for her training right here on our own campus at Bozeman Montessori.
We are so incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and long hours she has invested into her training. We know just how much pride she will hold her MACTE-accredited Montessori credential with as she continues to serve and nurture children and families.
Carly, we love you and we think you are absolutely amazing. Thank you for all you do for our children, our families, and our community! Check out her bio on our website to learn more about this wonderful guide! Please join us in showering Carly with love in the comments below! 👇

Recognizing one of our amazing teachers! 🌟
We want to give a huge shout-out to Tate Battistini, who was recently nominated by her peers for the Champions of Early Childhood Award through the Greater Gallatin United Way! While she wasn’t selected as the final recipient, she is a winner to us every single day.
Tate has worked with us for three wonderful years, during which time she has dedicated herself to helping the children develop and blossom.
She is one of those rare people who leads with incredible intuition, sensitivity, and kindness toward children and families alike. With a dedicated focus, she brings an amazing love for both the arts and ecology into our community every day.
We are so incredibly proud to work alongside her and are deeply grateful for everything she brings to us. Join us in celebrating Tate! ✨👏

“The child has a deep love for nature...” — Dr. Maria Montessori 🌸
Spring at Bozeman Montessori is a sensory delight. We are finding joy in the everyday rhythms of the season: the independence of riding bikes to school, the care of our environment as we tend to the garden, and the warmth of community during impromptu afternoon picnics in the park.
Inside the classroom and out, we are loving every minute of every day. Happy Spring! 🧺🌱🚲

🌱 Sweaty hands, dirty knees, and full hearts! 🛠️
This weekend, our community came together for our Bozeman Montessori Spring Beautification outside, and we are still buzzing from the incredible energy! ☀️
Take a look at what a group of dedicated families and staff can do in just one day:
🚲 Built a brand-new bike track, and outdoor shed from the ground up!
⏳ Spread fresh, cedar wood chips, scooped, shoveled, and refreshed our sandbox with clean new sand!
🌿 Pulled weeds, planted new life, and completely transformed our outdoor space!
More than anything, we got to celebrate the absolute beauty and importance of outdoor play for our children. None of this would be possible without the kindness, teamwork, and support of our amazing families and staff who showed up to dig in (literally!).
Thank you to everyone who came out to build, plant, and connect. Our outdoor environment is beautiful, organized, and ready for so many new adventures! 🪵🌸

At Bozeman Montessori, we see the beautiful work you do every day to help our children bloom. Whether you are a mother by birth, by choice, or a nurturer who shows up exactly when needed, today we honor you.
We are so excited to share a few photos from our Mother’s Day celebration at our South Campus this week! Thank you for being the steady ground beneath our children’s feet and the light that guides their way.
You are loved, you are appreciated, and you are amazing!

The children at Bozeman Montessori have been enchanted by the music of Tosca, and spent a few moments of their morning bringing the opera’s themes of hope and renewal to life through every skip and spin. 🎶

The shepherd boy’s song in Act III of Puccini’s Tosca, often called “Io de’ sospiri” or “Perché sei così bello,” is sung as dawn breaks over Rome, signaling the return of the light to a dark world. Maria Montessori believed that even in the most challenging times, children carry an innate spark of renewal. Our children are the “hope and promise,” as Maria Montessori said, for a more peaceful future. In every dance and every discovery, they are building the habits of empathy and cooperation that will transform our world. 🕊️

This week, Puccini’s Tosca takes the stage at the Ellen Theatre — a story of passion, art, and the courage it takes to stand for what you love. Opera Montana brings this high-stakes drama alive through some of the most beautiful music ever written for the opera stage.

And just a few miles away, something special was unfolding this morning at our North Campus.
Here is our music teacher Cody Henderson introducing the violin to some of the young learners in our community — children who are, in many ways, just beginning to discover that music is a language that lives inside them.

Maria Montessori believed that the arts were not extras. They were essential. She saw music as a pathway to the whole child — to concentration, to emotion, to the development of a more peaceful human being. What happens in a Montessori music class is not so different from what happens on a great opera stage: a story is told, something stirs, and we are changed.

Bozeman Montessori is honored to be a season sponsor of Opera Montana this year. We believe in what they do — in the power of the lively arts to shape how we connect, what we care about, and how we see the world.
Tosca runs May 7–10 at the Ellen Theatre. We hope to see you there! 🎻🎶

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! 🍎

This week, we celebrate all educators—from early childhood classrooms to high school halls and beyond.

Teachers do so much more than teach. You inspire curiosity, build confidence, create belonging, and show up every day for your students, often going far beyond what’s asked.

From first steps and first words to big milestones and bright futures, you are there through it all. Because of you, children grow into thinkers, leaders, and kind humans. And our communities are stronger because of it.

We see you. We appreciate you. We’re grateful for you.
