A huge thank you to our recent circle time presenters. Jenny Jones, Wildlife Biologist for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. She visited us again this month with more pelts and skulls to teach the children about various animals of Montana. She taught about different habitats and what animals are found in woodlands, riparian areas, and grasslands.
Yellowstone National Park Wildlife Biologist Matt Metz, along with his son, a recent Mountain Meadows Alum, gave a slide presentation about wolves, their pack structure, and howling practices. His wife Jenny Jones brought a wolf pelt and skull to complement the wolf visuals. Matt is conducting a research project to analyze wolf vocalizations and made a recording of our students howling to compare with wolf packs. He will share that in the coming days.
Enjoy your weekend!

Join us for GIVE BIG Gallatin Valley, One Valley Foundation’s 24 hours of giving to support the causes we care about most.
This year, Mountain Meadows Montessori is raising funds to establish a need-based student scholarship fund so that we can continue our mission of providing affordable, high quality early education opportunities. Donations will also be applied toward expanding critical staff benefits packages such as health coverage, toward our mission of creating sustainable early educator positions in the valley.
