Today, on PTSD Awareness Day, we recognize the courage and resilience of the many veterans, service members, and military families who live with the invisible wounds of trauma.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is not a sign of weakness. It is a human response to extraordinary experiences, and it affects many who have served our nation with honor. Seeking help is an act of strength, not surrender.
At the Travis W. Atkins Veteran Support Center, we want every veteran and military-connected student to know that you are not alone. Whether you’re navigating the transition to civilian life, managing the effects of military service, or simply having a difficult day, there is a community here that cares and resources available to support you.
Today, let’s do more than raise awareness. Let’s reduce stigma, encourage honest conversations, check in on one another, and remind those who are struggling that hope and healing are possible.
