I took an improv workshop this weekend with Steven Harris-Weiel, and while the focus was improv, the takeaways went far beyond the stage.

The experience was a powerful reminder of how closely leadership mirrors improv: being present, listening fully, communicating clearly, and allowing room for curiosity and fun at work.

Strong leadership isn’t about having the perfect script.

It’s about responding thoughtfully, staying engaged in the moment, and creating space for others to contribute.

A great reminder that sometimes the most valuable leadership lessons come from unexpected places.
