My graduate Simon Nguyen composed this symphonic piece “Horizont’s Edge” and conducted at the final Dreyfoos School of the Arts recital this year. Now Simon is a student of Frost School of Music.

So proud to see my student Simon Nguyen begin his studies at the Frost School of Music.

During his final years at Dreyfoos School of the Arts, I had the privilege of supporting Simon in his development as a composer. We worked together on piano ensembles that became part of the school’s traditional winter concerts “Prism”
at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.

Simon was also a member of the jazz band, where he showed an exceptional talent for jazz improvisation and developed his own musical voice.

His Dreyfoos journey culminated with his symphonic composition, “Horizon’s Edge,” which Simon also conducted. The Dreyfoos orchestra, under the direction of Evan Rogovin, brought his music to life.

As I told you when we said goodbye, Simon, I truly believe that one day I will watch you receive an Oscar for your music for a film or television show.

You have dreamed of writing music for the screen, and I believe you have everything it takes to make that dream a reality. This is only the beginning.
Your horizon is just ahead.✨

I bless my students every lesson. So happy to see how they are musically and emotionally growing. This student is doing a success in piano and in a composing. This year he participated in MTNA composition competition and received a great feedback. Also he performed at Kravis Center in WPB. Two years ago his composition for a string quartet was performed at the Gala concert of “Florida Keys” IMC at Carnegie Hall. He is so bright in math skills, also performs on violin and on several Indian folk instruments, love to read and make a challenges for himself. Every day he listens to classical music, and we talk about music a lot. He is currently a Dreyfoos School of the Arts student. Cudos to parents who put a lot in their children.
