GREAT NEWS AT BES! 🛝 💛💙
You may have noticed some work going on at BES last week… well, our playground equipment is FINALLY getting installed!
We are SO excited to have been able to use our resources as the BEC (Boylston Education Collaborative) to make this happen for our school and our kids! This is just Phase 1 of our planned playground improvements, and we can’t wait to see it all come together.
So, what’s included in this update?
🎈A new inclusive whirl
🎈A 4-seat seesaw
🎈A new swing
🎈New turf surfacing
🎈Removal of the rusty bench, old seesaw, and old spinning equipment
And we have an opportunity to do even MORE! For $13,000, we can add an ADA-accessible picnic table AND a shade structure to the playground!
That’s where we need the BES community’s help. After a year of minimal fundraising, we need to rebuild our BEC funds. As it turns out, playground equipment is VERY expensive!
If you’d like to donate toward this project, please check out the donation flyer included in the last slide of this post. And if you know of a local business that may be interested in donating or sponsoring the project, we would LOVE to connect with them!

Come share your ideas, get involved, and help us grow our membership and creativity as we plan for the year ahead. This playground is just the beginning, and we have lots of ideas for what we can do together!
Work on the playground will resume next week, and we’re hoping to have everything completed after Labor Day weekend. We’ll keep everyone posted!
And once it’s finished…look for an invitation to a POPSICLE PARTY 🥳 + PLAYGROUND OPENING 🛝! We’ll announce the date just as soon as everything is ready!
