What an AMAZING way to wrap up our week at IMPACT!

Our AI students welcomed Anne Lawless, Legislative Assistant for U.S. Representative Brett Guthrie, who provided valuable feedback on their AI policy projects!

Our World History students also had a blast learning about Indian Ocean maritime trade through an interactive simulation focused on challenges and innovations.

And we wrapped up the week with BINGO at lunch, awesome prizes, and lots of pink to honor the amazing Dolly Parton!

We’re having so much fun learning, leading, and innovating at IMPACT! We can’t wait to see what this week has in store!

Kentucky’s first AI Career Pathway is HERE at IMPACT!

We’re incredibly proud to be leading the way with Kentucky’s first dedicated Artificial Intelligence career pathway—and even prouder that our very own Drew Fulkerson, AI & Cyber Systems Lead, is helping write and develop the pathway that could shape AI education across Kentucky.

Drew isn’t just teaching students how to use AI. He’s helping them understand how it works, how it impacts our world, and how to use it thoughtfully and ethically.

The future of AI education is being built right here at IMPACT Center for Leadership & Innovation. And our students get to be part of it from day one.

Science in action at IMPACT!

Our Advanced Chemistry students completed the school’s first chemistry lab, analyzing an unknown mixture to identify its components!

Meanwhile, Biology students took on the role of forensic scientists, testing “stomach contents” from an autopsy for the presence or absence of macromolecules.

Real-world science. Hands-on learning.

We can’t wait to see what learning experiences are ahead this week at IMPACT!

Last week, our Biomedical Academy students hit the ground running with their first unit in forensic science! Students investigated a simulated death scene, cataloging evidence such as fingerprints, microscopic evidence, and digital evidence to determine the cause of death.

Even our SRO, Mike Waldrop, stopped by to share insight into the law enforcement side of investigating an incident like this.

Real-world learning. Hands-on experiences. Future-ready skills. This is IMPACT! 💙

We had the perfect end to an even better week! 🎉 Not only did our students enjoy lunch, games, and some time outside in the courtyard today, but our Aviation students also got some hands-on time in the flight simulators! ✈️

What a FIRST DAY!

Today was one for the books at IMPACT Center! We officially opened our doors and welcomed our very first students — and we couldn’t have asked for a better start to this incredible journey.

From our teachers and staff to our students and families, there was so much excitement, energy, laughter, and IMPACT pride throughout the building. Watching our vision come to life today was truly something special.

Here’s to the beginning of something BIG.

The entire IMPACT Center team is ready! From our incredible teachers and front office staff to our custodians, cafeteria team, counselors, and administrators, everyone has been working hard to prepare for this moment—and we can’t wait to open our doors tomorrow!

Tomorrow marks the beginning of the 26/27 school year and, more importantly, the day we welcome our FIRST-EVER students into the IMPACT Center! 🎉

Tonight, get a good night’s rest, because tomorrow we make history together.
