It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Akiko Kawano Jones. She was a devoted and beloved faculty member who passionately shared Japanese language & culture with her students, colleagues & the broader community – particularly through the Cherry Blossom Festival, which marked its 25th year this past spring. We are deeply grateful for her 43 years of dedication to the College and will always remember her with great fondness.
