Falcon Food Pantry - BGSU

We are so happy to announce our newest program at the Falcon Food Pantry:

Food Insecurity Across Time and Space.

This program is a student research based internship at the Falcon Food Pantry in which students prepare a research paper on a topic of their choice and then develop a museum exhibit that is displayed for a semester at the Jerome Library.

Meet our first curator - Ashton Horton! Ashton is an ENVS major in the College of Arts and Science. This work looks at food insecurity during the settlement of our region - The Great Black Swamp. The exhibit is now on display on the first floor of the Jerome Library.

This project was supported by a Center for Undergraduate Research (CURS) Grant, as well as funding from the Bowling Green Community Foundation and is a collaboration with the Jerome Library.

The numbers are in and this part year was a record setting year at the Falcon Food Pantry! We provided almost 10,000 bags of food in Fall and Spring at the pantry.

It takes a big village to make this happen. Thank you to all of our donors, supporters and of course our team members who made this happen.

Here’s to smashing that record in the upcoming year!

The BGSU Community Garden is officially planted!! Thank you so much to everyone who came out on a chilly, drizzling day to assemble new garden beds, w**d, compost, till and plant the garden.

A special shout out of appreciation to for growing the plants this semester and for so much support. Thank you also to for including this in your list of events this year.

One more week until the Falcon Food Pantry is open for the summer! Summer hours are 12-3pm Mondays and Thursdays. All Falcons welcome!

We are getting ready to plant the BGSU Community Garden and would love your help! Everyone is always welcome to come and pick vegetables from the garden throughout the summer and fall.
