This summer, our Threes are learning with all five senses!

From flower petals and grass exploration to bubble play and a yellow rice sensory bin, students are getting hands-on with the sights, textures, and sounds of summer.

These experiences encourage children to explore, describe what they notice, and make connections through play — while having plenty of fun along the way. ☀️

“Can I have a turn?” can be a surprisingly big question for a little one. Sharing doesn’t come naturally to toddlers; it’s a social skill they learn gradually.

🧸 A favorite toy can feel especially important when children are still learning about ownership and control.
⏳ Waiting for a turn takes patience and self-control that are still developing.
🌱 Understanding how another child feels takes time as empathy begins to grow.

The good news? Every disagreement over a toy is also an opportunity to practice these skills! With calm guidance and plenty of practice, children gradually become more comfortable taking turns and playing together. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Hello Crossroads families! we will be offering hearing and vision testing again for all students. The fee will be $20 for both hearing and vision tests. Cash only.

This is optional, but we wanted to make sure every child has the opportunity to be tested. If you choose to opt out, or you have already had your child screened for hearing and vision, you will need to have them screened on your own/we will need a copy of the results per the state of IL.

Consent forms will be available at the sign-in counter! :)
