2019 was a year of transformation for me. I worked harder than I ever have towards achieving my goals in all aspects- spiritual, mental, & physical.
These self-portraits are just a few of the shots I took in 2019, experimenting with light & styling and mostly being totally vulnerable by revealing my photos- open for anyone to judge the photo or my character as they will.
These photos represent showing one's face, self acceptance, discomfort to initiate personal growth, and self-expression without caring what others think.

Our last styled shoot was at the Salt Flats. Have you been there in April? It’s covered with a beautiful layer of water which makes for incredible reflections! Unfortunately, we had a massive wind come along and force us to improvise. The parking structure was our saving grace as the wind was literally only tolerable for the first 5 minutes as it blew water and salt so violently as to freeze the models and possibly damage a camera. But that’s what we photographers do— improvise! 😄

I love this saying so much. It tells us that whatever we struggle with isn’t permanent. We are all on a path to get somewhere and that destination depends on what we desire. It’s hopeful 😊
