Vesakha or Hanamatsuri ( in the Japanese tradition) is the day when Buddhists celebrate the birth, enlightenment and death of Gautama Buddha. Vesakha fell on May 14th this year, Ava was asked to lead a group of Japanese women in celebratory rituals.
