“Engaging young people is so important because we’re the ones who are going to be living through the changes that are happening right now, but we aren’t necessarily the people with the formal decision-making authority,” said Dani Lee, a CU Boulder junior and one of the undergraduate coaches working with the Centaurus students on the course. “One thing that’s so empowering is that adults are listening to us and to our students.”

March for Our Lives NAACP Youth and College 10/23/2020

PA is helping start a new youth chapter of the NAACP! The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) was founded in 1909 in an in*******al effort for justice for African-Americans. Through building more relationships across BVSD and in Boulder county it's clear that there is a lack of spaces for Black and African-American youth ages 13-25 to connect on issues of civic engagement and social justice. If you are Black, African-American, or BIPOC and interested in joining and space like this please let us know and we will send you an application! We currently have PA alumni and students signed up as founding members! Please contact us if you'd like to join and share this with anyone who might be interested!
