A friend of mine in Gaza just messaged me:
“We’re no longer allowed to go to the sea.”

The sea.
One of the only places left to cool your body in unbearable heat.
One of the only places to breathe in a life under siege.

And now the sea is sealed off.

I keep seeing people—some of them living in comfort just miles from the border—deny that there is a humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Some say the destruction is “propaganda.” That the grief is “staged.”

I want to scream.

This is like standing outside and pointing up at the sky and being told there is no sky.

But there is a sky.
There is a sea.
There are starving families. Burned bodies. Lifeless children. Grieving mothers.

Denying their suffering does not make it disappear.
It only deepens the violence.

If you see it, say it.
If you don’t see it, ask yourself why.

Gaza is not propaganda.
Gaza is real.
And her people are drowning in heat, hunger, and heartbreak—while the world debates whether the sky exists.

When was the last time you sat in silence with someone?

In a one-on-one conversation, silence can feel awkward. But for the brain, it’s incredibly powerful.

Most of us are taught to fill conversational gaps. Social media, email, and Slack keep us constantly “on,” conditioning us to react rather than reflect, to divide rather than connect.

So grateful to be out of the USA for a little while right now! It goes like a completely different world here in the world. My nervous system is regulating once again when my spirit feels free.
