We are going ahead with a 2018 Boston March Against Monsanto event on Saturday May 19. 😀😀

The Committee for Peace & Human Rights has arranged for us to be able to have a rally at Park Street at 1pm. They have a weekly anti-war vigil there Saturdays at 1pm that they devote to different topics and groups. Last year Boston March Against Monsanto marched from Copley to Park Street and had our end rally there. We might start at Park Street this year. We also already have a sponsorship/endorsement from the Greater Boston Chapter of the Green-Rainbow Party (Green Party)

We are a bit behind on planning. Our first planning meeting was poorly attended. We are trying to schedule another meeting. Would people be able to meet this Sunday afternoon May 6 at 2 or 3pm in Boston (maybe at Encuentro 5)? We would also have a speaker phone and conference call service so people could call in to the meeting too.

Let us be clear. If the federal government is not prepared to pass a GMO labeling law that is as strong as the state laws already on the books, then the federal government should do nothing.

We will accept nothing less than mandatory, on pack GMO labeling. This is an extremely reasonable request. This is a right that the citizens of 64 other countries already enjoy. American companies are already labeling their products for the overseas markets. Americans deserve these same rights and it is up to us to make sure we prevail.

It is time for the United States government to stand up for the people of this country. We can not allow them to compromise our rights away in order to protect industry interests. Our elected officials need to understand that we are NOT going away. If a law is passed that does not give us the transparency in our food that we deserve, the people of this country will be louder than ever. We must stand in our power and show that we have only just begun to fight. We will not accept our rights being trumped by industry any longer.

BREAKING: Santa Puts Lump Of Coal In Monsanto's Stocking... The federal spending bill won't block States' Rights to label GMOs, won't overturn GMO crop bans - NO DARK ACT.
