Code on real quantum computers at MIT!

We are incredibly excited to announce MIT iQuHACK 2023, a quantum computing hackathon hosted by MIT iQuISE on January 27-29th, 2023. iQuHACK 2023 will be a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual participation open to everyone, including students and professionals from across the world. Quantum Computing challenges, talks, and prizes will be provided by our diverse panel of sponsors, including IonQ, Microsoft, Agnostiq, Quantinuum, QuEra, Quantum Machines, qBraid, IBM, HRL, Atom Computing, Unitary Fund, MIT CQE, MIT RLE, MIT Museum, and MIT EECS.

MIT iQuHACK 2023 is open to everyone, regardless of experience, and is free to attend.

This Thursday (12/16), for our last(!) seminar of the Fall 2021 semester, we’re excited to have Prof. Andrew Houck at Princeton give us a talk on Circuit QED: From Materials to Mathematics. Pizza will be served in the CUA room at 11:45, and the seminar will be on Zoom at 12pm.

Join us today (12/02) for an in-person seminar given by our very own alum, Prof. Sara Mouradian at the University of Washington! She'll be talking about Engineering (Useful) Quantum Systems - A roadmap for realizing large-scale QIP systems with trapped-ion qubits. The talk will be in the CUA Seminar Room and on Zoom at 12pm Eastern. Pizza will be served at 11:30 in the QIS Room, but eating will not be permitted during the seminar (for in-person attendees).

We’re excited to announce that today’s seminar will be given by Prof. Kae Nemoto from the National Institute of Informatics in Tokyo, at 6pm US eastern time. Please note the time change! She will be speaking about Quantum Computer designs from today’s NISQ processors to tomorrow’s fault-tolerant Quantum Computers. Pizza will be served in the CUA room at 5:45, and the seminar will begin on Zoom at 6. See you there!
