Vita Paladino, Director of the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center at Boston University, is retiring and ending her 43 year tenure. We, her staff, will miss her and are so grateful for her vision and guidance, her good humor and wisdom, and all that she has done to transform and advance the mission of the Gotlieb Center. In 1964, the same year that King won the Nobel Peace Prize, he chose to donate his papers to his alma mater, Boston University for safe-keeping. Today you can go to the 3rd Floor of Mugar Library and enter the Martin Luther King, Jr. Reading Room, which display his original writings, correspondence and schoolwork, including his dissertation and BU transcript.
