A in Italian Studies, an MA in Applied Linguistics with a focus on Foreign Language Pedagogy, and a PhD in Educational Studies specializing in Adult Learning and Development. My postdoctoral research has further enriched my understanding of sociolinguistics, language identity, and the unique needs of heritage learners. With years of experience teaching Italian at various institutions - from the Dante Alighieri Society to high schools, community colleges, and universities - I have honed my ability to tailor lessons to students of all levels. Currently, I’m a senior lecturer and an associated researcher, continually exploring new ways to make language learning both effective and enjoyable. Beyond teaching, I’m passionate about my own research, learning new languages, traveling, cooking, hiking, watching films, and reading.
