Thanks for your interest in Teach Next Year! The deadline for applying to the Teach Next Year program for 2018/2019 ended in April.

If you are interested in applying for the 2019/2020 academic year, meetings, phone calls and information sessions for all 2019/2020 applicants will be scheduled in September. Please review the brochure and contact TNY Manager Alicia Savannah.

FIRST Robotics Championship Boosts Diversity 05/12/2018

For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Championship landed in Detroit this year. Held April 25-28, the championship saw more than 15,000 students in grades K-12, from 25 states and 45 countries, with their custom-built robots. FIRST Championship offers four levels of competition and one student exhibition for students aged 6 to 18.

Social Emotional Learning Innovation Fund - Education First 04/03/2018

Education First is now seeking applications for teacher-led projects that foster social and emotional learning (SEL) skills in students in grades PK-12 through the NoVo Foundation Social Emotional Learning Innovation Fund.

They will award up to $5,000 to individual teachers or groups of teachers to implement an innovative project in their classrooms and schools in the 2018-2019 school year. They are also looking for applications from districts and charters to support innovative social and emotional learning in students grades PK-12. They will award up to $25,000 per year for applicants selected for district-level work.

Though all proposals are welcome, Education First is seeking proposals that specifically serve one of the following student populations:
*Students from indigenous communities
*New arrivals (such as refugees) or immigrants
*English learners
*LGBTQI students
