Beyond entertainment, The Odyssey shows us important lessons in life and business. Skip them and it could be the death of you.
❌ Skip lesson 1 — the math — and you don’t get to avoid a hard call. You just get a bigger one, later, made without your input.
❌ Skip lesson 2 — the mast — and you’re relying on willpower in the exact moment willpower runs out.
❌ Skip lesson 3 — the island — and you mistake a comfortable year for a progressive one, right up until you check the numbers that actually matter.
❌ Skip lesson 4 — the bag of winds — and you build your success on an unstable foundation, ready to fall when assumptions and miscommunication arise - and they will.
❌ Skip lesson 5 — the disguise — and your naivety will have you trusting the shiny things and wrong people.
📖 None of this is new information. It’s old information dressed up just for us. That’s the whole point of going back to art and the humanities instead of only reading the latest business framework: the framework will be outdated in eight months. The pattern underneath it has survived three thousand years, a dozen empires, and at least one Christopher Nolan movie.
🤯 This is why we have our Mastermind events: Mastermind Dinner and Mastermind Strategy Workshop and Summit. To literally “master your mind” - because your mind will tell you all sorts of things, especially lies. It will lie and overestimate what you can get done in a day and then beat you up when you don’t achieve it.
