Finally got to do some real work today....shopping for a client's lakefront bluestone patio and planting all this beauty in these containers....but I can't really call this work! Creating this beauty is pure pleasure for me! So happy I get to leave the world a more beautiful place than I found it!

Modern, Modern, Modern.... exactly what my client wanted. Simple lines, stainless steel, black and white, and I found this killer contemporary tile from to back the range top. It's the showstopper in this kitchen! We took traditional New England and stood it on it's head....with counters, , , and

Together these brands brought contemporary fire power to this remodel. I try to get traditional New Englanders to think outside "the salt box" and my clients were all in!

Sometimes design inspiration strikes in the middle of the night...at 3 AM, when I sat bolt upright and knew I had to relocate this kitchen to an entirely different part of the house. We relocated the family room, kitchen and living room, to create a flowing, open concept living space from 4 boxy, dysfunctional rooms. And it works!!!! I work with the best team in the world...thank you Metropolitan Cabinets and Countertops, Knight Kitchens, Ferguson and National Tile for helping me pull it altogether....just like always! And for helping me stage the whole thing!

One of my happy places....the San Francisco Wholesale Flower Market.......at 4AM!!!! When they open!! All set for a Black Friday wedding in the Bay area. Totally worth the 3:45 AM drive into the city.......which is when the commute really starts here!!!!
