This past semester, Fireplace has progressed from the accelerator’s Ready Stage to the Set Stage. They have also recently been accepted into The Residency, a hacker house where the team will be working full-time towards Fireplace’s official launch this coming Fall! 🥳

What’s Beanpot?
A yearly *hockey* competition between Northeastern, Boston University, Harvard, and Boston College in TD Garden. (Huskies are back to back champs!)

Why now, and in startups?
Not every student can miss class to meet an investor or attend a specific event. The undergraduate startup ecosystem is siloed, and networking is often a black box. We want to showcase students who are doing great things while pursuing their education. Plus- who doesn’t like some friendly Beanpot competition?

How do I apply to pitch?
Sorry, all representatives have been selected and chosen by their university representatives- no exceptions.

Can I table?
Due to limited space, no, but network all you want!

Who can come?
Anyone! This is for the Greater Boston startup ecosystem- just make sure to register!

Is there a dress code?
Technically, no- but there are investors, presentations, speakers, etc. Our E-Board will be in business attire!

This week, we’re showcasing Phytabar, a nutrition bar start-up helping people live happier and healthier lives with novel omega-3 foods. 🌊

After 2 years of crafting the perfect recipe, Phytabars are coming to Boston! Phytabar would love to celebrate this milestone by hosting a Kickstarter launch party for everyone. Plus, they’ll have homemade Phytabar samples for you to try!

The kickstarter will be launching tomorrow (03/15) at 5:30-6:30pm in the IDEA Lab. Phytabar’s goal is to raise $10,000 through this kickstarter, where attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to pre-order the bars and become their first customers.
