Fernando Barba. One of the most valuable and cherished rhythm assets in the world, and most importantly, a close friend and partner to our organization, has left us today.
For PERCUACTION the past 11 years of deep friendship and mutual care with Fernando, have allowed us to grow and flourish common visions and goals, that today take another meaning in order to honor Barba’s life.
Our sincere condolences go to his family and to each one of our dear sisters and brothers from Barbatuques. 🙏

7 years ago today, received the 2nd PERCUACTION Lifetime Achievement Award in Bogota, Colombia! It was the very first time Reinhard gave a TaKeTiNa workshop in the country and the beginning of a fruitful collaboration with our organization’s founder ! Ever since, that rhythmic dynamic duo has led workshops, held concerts on international stages and lead the way for thousands of people worldwide through projects such as their brand new BODY2DRUM!
PERCUACTION takes pride about acknowledging rhythm luminaries from around the world through our lifetime achievement award, which in past years has honored, among others Evelyn Glennie, Zakir Hussain, Remo Belli and Trilok Gurtu.
