Marietta Schwartz Obituary - Wakefield, Massachusetts - Robinson Funeral Home 09/08/2017

UMass Boston Chemistry lost one its most valuable members this week. The hole this leaves in all our hearts is unimaginable. Marietta Haeg Schwartz was a member of this department for almost 30 years, teaching organic chemistry to thousands of our alumni. I'm sure many of you have wonderful (and terrifying) memories of taking orgo with her. But I'll bet you still remember much of what she taught you. She was a phenomenal professor.

In her honor, UMass Boston and the Chemistry Department have established a scholarship in her name, the Marietta Haeg Schwartz Memorial Chemistry Scholarship. Please click the link to donate
