Brr! The freezing temps here in Boston are making our Community Connectors miss their semester break. The cold is more fun when you get to enjoy it by a fire, and not in rehearsals (or so they say!) Throwback to Orientation and Welcome Week! Our Community Connectors and Operations Assistants had so much fun welcoming our new students to campus this past January. From student panels and trivia games to late-night events, we hope this semester's new students and families enjoyed these weeks as much as we did. Now that classes are in full swing, students are busier than ever. Among the projects, club meetings, rehearsals, and gigs encourage your students to spend time with friends, get some sleep, or cor stop by the Campus Life Resource Center in 150 Massachusetts Ave. for some hot chocolate!

The semester is in full swing here at Berklee! We know your students are juggling a lot--from classes to rehearsals, to doing their own laundry. We've compiled some on-campus resources to help your student manage all the different elements of their lives, and take some of the stress off their shoulders (literally). As your students are packing up to come back to campus, keep an eye out for any winter essentials that they or another member of your family may have grown out of! Winter Closet is a Berklee resource that gives students access to winter essentials (coats, sweaters, gloves, hats, scarves, etc) so that no student goes cold during Boston winters. If you have any of these items please bring them with you and Winter Closet donation bins will be available in the lobbies of 150 Massachusetts Ave, 921 Boylston St and 8 Fenway beginning Tuesday, January 21st. The Winter Closet will open again on Friday, January 27th. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to [email protected]

It's a beautiful Boston day for the start of orientation! We are so excited to welcome the new students starting for the Spring 2025 semester. When you get on campus, either check-in at your residence hall if you're living on campus or come to the Center for Campus Life if you're a commuter student!

We have lots of free goodies for both commuter and residential students and your families! We hope to see you around soon.

We are so excited to be hosting our final Family Chat of the semester with our friends in Community Standards this Thursday! During this chat, you will learn more about their office and what conflict resolution support options they offer are. Additionally, they will focus on how families can support their student experiencing conflict as well as the disciplinary process and support your student through this process.

Campus Life is partnering with Institutional Advancement funds to raise funds to support our Winter Closet program. This initiative collects winter essentials like coats, gloves, sweaters, and more for students in need. The program ensures that no student has to face the harsh winter months without adequate clothing to stay warm.

All donations will be used to cover the costs of cleaning and maintaining the winter items collected. This includes professional cleaning services to ensure the items are in excellent condition for our students to use.
