For the first time in a virtual settings, Teen Leaders will explore and share their experiences with advocating for social justice for all, emphasizing in the importance of intersectionality, how real actions lead to progress, and amplifying the voices of those who must be heard and seen. Today's the day! Our first ever virtual worskhop at 1:30pm, and it's not too late to register!!
This workshop is open to other teens (ages 15 - 19) who are interested in exploring our theme, "One Spark starts a Fire: Advocating from our Hearts". We will be talking about advocating and what it means today in the middle of COVID-19, the Black Lives Matter movement, and how we can be involved, express ourselves, and still take care of ourselves. We will be sharing our conversations around advocacy, our own performance pieces inspired by this topic, and hearing your experiences and stories.
