Yesterday afternoon, BURPG conducted a 1 second hotfire test—the first by the team in several years, and the first ever on the Horizontal Test Stand. Initial data review indicates that all performance targets were met.
This qualification test article will undergo several additional tests. After that, an identical flight article will undergo a brief acceptance test campaign.

BURPG is partnering with BU Spark! to support their Resiliency Challenge: a nine-week virtual hackathon aimed at helping colleges and communities cope with the COVID-19 crisis.
If you want to join a hackathon team, you can learn more and sign up here: https://theresiliencychallenge.io/
If you have experienced or witnessed a problem as a student or in your community that you think could be solved through technology, consider submitting a challenge project for students to work on as part of the hackathon. You can submit projects here: tinyurl.com/resiliencyproject.
The Resiliency Challenge is open to all college students, not just from BU. We're excited to see how we can help our community through this tough time.

A couple weeks ago, two engineers from Relativity came to visit. They told us all about their company and how their trying to revolutionize commercial space. Then we got to show them around our lab and get some fantastic advice. Thanks to Bryce and Ben from Relativity for coming out (on such little sleep) to the East Coast to meet up!
Relativity goes to college -- we were with the Boston University Rocket Propulsion Group a few weeks ago -- they totally blew us away. It was absolutely impressive to see what these students are doing.

The Boston University Rocket Propulsion Group would like to extend a huge congratulations to the team and alumni of the USC Rocket Propulsion Laboratory for their incredibly successful launch of their Traveler IV vehicle. We know the difficulty, long nights, and rigor that are associated with rocketry at this level. This launch was the culmination of years of design, testing, and building, and we are all inspired by knowing what is possible by a group of dedicated university students who know no limits.
We’re coming for you guys. See you at 328000 feet.
From all of BURPG, Flight On.
