🎓 If you have ADHD, choosing a college is not just about where you get in. It is about where you will actually do well.
While studying, you will need to ask for support, manage your time, and handle more on your own than you do now.
That is why this decision matters.
In this Reel, Rachel Leja shares 5 things you should know before building your college list.

🏅 Everyone is giving recruiting advice right now. Most of it sounds good. Very little of it gets results.
Because getting recruited is not just about being talented. It is about timing, positioning, and understanding how coaches actually evaluate you. That is the part most people miss.
At McMillan Education, we have worked with student-athletes since long before recruiting became a trend, and we use our knowledge of what separates those who get offers from those who do not to give our athletes an insider's advantage.
The WISE Admissions Playbook™ is a Self-Guided Course for Athletic Recruiting that guides students through what matters, gives them the strategies to stand out, and helps them avoid the costly mistakes that derail dreams in a format that breaks the process down clearly, step by step, so student-athletes know what to do and when to do it.
If you are serious about playing at the next level, do not guess your way through it while relying on hearsay advice, someone else's experience, AI, or coaches' misleading promises

📍🏫 Families approach the search for boarding schools intuitively.
They start with a region they are interested in.
Then they narrow down schools.
Then they compare.
Then they decide which schools are worth a closer look.
That is what the new McMillan Boarding School Guide is built for.
With stronger focus on the U.S., UK, Europe, Switzerland, and Canada, schools have a better chance to be seen by families who are actively searching in the right market.
If your school wants stronger visibility on the new guide, let’s talk. 🤝🏻
Launching soon.

🇬🇧 A week in the UK can tell you a lot about boarding schools. For our CEO Don McMillan and Educational Consultant Chris Curl, this recent trip was a chance to step back onto campuses, meet school communities, and experience the details families cannot fully see from a website.
There was London, historic Bath, chapel visits, exam-season energy, a very memorable horse named Frolic, a rainbow trout, and schools that could not have felt more different from one another.
UK boarding schools are not one single experience. Some are small and close-knit. Some are larger and more expansive. Some feel deeply traditional. Others are defined by breadth, energy, and opportunity.
These visits help us keep our guidance grounded in real places, real communities, and the daily student experience behind each school’s reputation.
Thank you to the schools that welcomed Don and Chris so warmly.

🎓 College admissions advice is everywhere. A friend says one thing. ChatGPT and Claude say something else.
The hard part is not finding information. It is knowing what matters, what to ignore, and how to make decisions that actually support the final application.
That is the problem the WISE Admissions Playbook™ is built to solve. It gives families access to McMillan’s admissions approach in a course format, backed by 70+ years in education, 10,000+ families served, and work with 450+ colleges and universities.
Unlike AI-generated advice which can make mistakes, McMillan’s approach is grounded in real admissions experience and a strong track record of successful outcomes.

🏫 Not all boarding school experiences look the same.
The real question isn't how does my child get into a good boarding school.
The real question is: What boarding school is right for my child?
That is where the right guidance can make all the difference.
🤝🏻 Jill Hutchins, our Director of School Planning, brings decades of boarding school experience to helping families think through that decision with greater clarity: https://www.mcmillaneducation.com/about/team/jill-hutchins/
