Hi everyone! Rho Chi will be hosting our annual residency interview prep event for P3 and P4 students on November 16th from 6-8PM on Zoom! Mock interviews will occur from 6-7PM followed by a faculty presentation and a Q&A event from 7-8PM. For those of you considering completing a residency post-grad, this would be a great opportunity to practice your interview skills and gain more insight from a current/past resident as to what the programs entail. There’s currently 28 slots open so if you would like to sign up for a mock-interview slot, please fill out the Google Form linked below by November 13th (anyone can attend the Q&A after without having to sign up!). Hope to see you guys there!

Hi all,

Northeastern’s Rho Chi Beta Tau chapter is holding our annual Residency Interview Prep event on November 16, 2022 and we are looking for current residents who are interested in volunteering to be an interviewer for the event! This event gives our P4 students interested in completing a residency the opportunity to practice their interview skills and prepare for the application process.

The interview portion of the event will be held from 6-7PM in which each interviewer will be paired with a student during allotted 15 minute intervals. After the interview component, we will have a Q&A with the residents from 7-8PM. Any and all help is appreciated, please contact Jessalyn Nguyen ([email protected]; committee chair) and Alexa Carlson ([email protected]; Rho Chi faculty advisor) by November 4th if you would be available and interested in participating!

Last Friday, Beta Tau Chapter inducted 25 students for the class of 2022-2023. Congratulations to all the new inductees and newly elected officers!! 🎉🎉We had the honor of having welcoming remarks from our school Dean, Dr. Tatiana Bronich, and a wonderful speech from Dr. Safiya Naidjate about her pharmacy career journey!

We held an alumni networking event last week where current & previous Rho Chi Beta Tau members got the chance to interact, learn about the various career paths our alumni have taken, and get advice for APPEs! It was great meeting everyone and we are so grateful to all the alumni & members who came out!

We’re so excited to be highlighting our Chapter Project that has come to fruition over the past few months thanks to the generosity of the Rho Chi Society Project Proposal Award! Our member, Hayoung Chang, submitted a proposal for the development of Braille drug leaflets for patients with visual impairments - this project was later selected as one of the top 3 proposals in the country! Along with a group of Rho Chi Beta Tau members, a number of common prescription and OTC medications and their important counseling points have been compiled to be translated into Braille - and here is one of the prototypes! We are so proud of our members who have been working on this and cannot wait to see how this project continues to come together!

One of our final events of the year is coming up: our Annual Lecture is on March 23, from 6-7 PM, with Dr. Carla Bouwmeester as the guest speaker! This event will be held on Zoom and is open to everyone - we would love to see you all there! Zoom link is in our bio!

We had a great time getting to know the members of Rho Chi at MCPHS last week! It was such a fun night learning about each other and about the history of Rho Chi - with some amazing prizes on the line!
