Ever since I was an 8-year-old kid, I have always been dreaming of being the President of United States to end all the wars and help other people in other countries. In my naïve mind, USA was the greatest country in the world, and the President would have the most power to change people’s lives. Eventually, I learned that one of the most important criteria to be the President of United States is b
eing born in America, which means I would never be qualified. As I grew up, I found out that I don’t have to hold any big position in order to make great things happen. All I need is a good cause and my own way to accomplish it. It is when I bought my first camera ever, I knew that I could do it. I believe that every person I pass by on the street has a story to tell, and I can never really know about a person without knowing his stories. By delivering people’s stories behind picture to many other people, I hope that we will find ourselves somewhere in each other’s story; I hope we will put ourselves in each other’s story and feel all the emotions, feelings that each of us has been through; I hope we will see that no matter where we are from, what we do, there is always something we have in common: Love. Love ourselves. Love our families and friends. Love our lives. With that being said, I hope that some days we will learn to love each other. It will be when this world finally becomes a better place. Humans of New London is inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. It will not only cover stories and pictures of people living around the town I am currently residing in or the school that I go to, but also include stories of people in places that I will come across in my life adventure. Contributing to the community that I am living in is only the first step in making this world a better place. And I won’t stop there.
