2013 - Reebok GBC - Miami, FL
These studs! Reebok CrossFit One pioneers getting after a 6am workout before heading to a full day of presenting.
Once a year, Reebok hosts an annual Global Brand Campaign (GBC), or GMM (Global Marketing Meeting), where they get to showcase their hard work (the product) to the markets. It’s a huge event and so fun! Our role was to provide fitness sessions for any GBC attendee several times across the day. We wanted to make sure our people had an outlet to take care of their minds and bodies, before heading back to crush the world!
Our members are incredible! When they’re in the gym, we see them as athletes and friends who we help through teaching and coaching. We see Erin, who can crush chest-to-bar pull ups, Linda, who is 70 years old and striving to put 15-lbs over her head, and Fruch, our in-house DMO (Display Model Only 😉). The business card is left at the door and we workout.
At GBC, we get to see what they do for a living and they are amazing! The status and title isn’t what impresses is, it’s how they connect to their work and put their passions into action.
Reebok is a special place. They have done a lot of good for the CrossFit community and will continue to do so. They love the community! And when you work with the folk that make the clothes, the shoes, put on the events, and you spend time getting to know them...you can understand that the live behind the product is genuine.
Ten years. Many memories. More to come. Let’s make them together 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Tag an affiliate, coach, workout buddy, that you admire because of their love for what they do. Let them know their efforts are appreciated.
Have a magical day, friends!!

Thanksgiving is coming and that means it’s 5k Turkey Trot time! Yup. And, the best part is...EVERYONE can join in! You can run, jog, walk...whatever floats ya boat, just get outside and soak up the crisp November air.

Now, just because we can’t be together in person, doesn’t mean we can’t run together in unity. So, for the week of 11/23 when you have completed your 5k Turkey Trot (or the distance you choose), tag in your post-Trot selfie/picture.

You want the Turkey, ya gotta trot for it 😉

1. How are you staying motivated to work out during the quarantine?
My usual workouts consist of playing ice hockey, boxing classes, and taking yoga classes at Reebok HQ. Since I can’t go to any of those options right now, to stay motivated I have shifted to do more running outside, doing the Reebok Stay at Home ab workouts on YouTube, and practicing some of the difficult poses from your class.
What do you miss about the gym?
I miss the gym so much, it is one of my favorite parts about working at Reebok. I think I miss trapeze yoga class the most! There’s no replacement for it!
What was the first car you owned?
Still own it, a Ford escape, ha.

1. How are you staying motivated to work out during quarantine?
During this quarantine time, I have had a lot of anxiety and worry. Worried about my family’s health, especially my husband who is a cancer patient and high risk, worried about work and my colleagues, worried about my family and friends and my son’s senior year of high school. First thing I did was stopped watching the news! Secondly, exercising has helped me reduce my anxiety so much. It also has helped me feel energized and productive. It helps me get through these long days and helps me sleep!! I also have two very athletic sons who get me going too. CJ is doing his workouts for football that his college coach has sent him. Andrew runs and bikes 15-18 miles and works out with his brother in the garage. You can often find us all foam rolling and stretching after working out.
2. What do you miss about the gym? I miss seeing all the coaches that greet us and make us feel welcome with hugs and high fives! I miss working out with my workout buddy, Lindsay Sheffield and seeing all my colleagues in the class. I miss Brooke, Alysa, Carmen, Kelly and Alana because they bring such passion and energy to the classes I love and kick my butt in class. I really miss Sprint class so much. I wish I had a bike at home.
3. What was the first car you owned? My first car I owned, I was very proud to have bought with my own money that I saved from working at McDonald’s. It was a Ford, Pinto. It was white with a blue pinstripe down the side. It was so cool and I drove it into the ground.

Q. How are you staying motivated to work out during quarantine?
A. That’s easy – 1) just general mental sanity. My time working out at the office was my sanity time when I could just shut off my mind and focus on what was in front of me instead of the mountain of tasks I have at any given time. That hasn’t changed. 2) I’ve worked hard over the last few years to improve my fitness – I’m not going to let forced time at home completely derail me. 3) Going along with 1 and 2, just trying to stay fit to keep up with my son (pictured in one of the pix) and to stay healthy for my family.
Q. What do you miss about the gym?
A. Also easy – the people. And the barbells. But mostly the people. I dearly miss coming in and being greeted at the front desk and all the comradery and banter (witty or not) with the coaches and the other members.
Q.What was the first car you owned?
A. A 1985 (mostly) blue Ford Tempo. The ceiling had to be held up by thumb tacks and it struggled to make it up even small hills, but it did technically run and move me from place to place. Fun fact – one of the sprayers for the windshield wipers was so off that it sprayed fluid 5-7 feet off the passenger side of the car!
