Very happy to announce that, in preparation for this weekend’s snowstorms, we’re continuing the that was started by City Councilor Matt O'Malley to encourage kids to get involved in our community while helping our first responders keep us safe.
The rules are simple:
1. After the snowstorm ends, Boston and Brookline kids shovel out fire hydrants in the community
2. Parents or Guardians take before and after photos and tag online
3. Fill out the form at bit.ly/48L8rGn to win a $5 JP Licks Gift Card!
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at [email protected].
We’re looking forward to seeing your photos! Everyone stay safe and enjoy the snow!

Kwanzaa begins today and runs through January 1. It’s a time for families and communities to come together to reflect on the past, and celebrate African American culture. Kwanzaa centers on seven principles that help build and maintain unified and empowered communities.
wishes all who celebrate a Happy Kwanzaa!

This is first time ever that Beethoven has the tree lighting and we got celebrate twice! In the afternoon with the students and later with the community. It used to be at Washington and Grove.
Great to see Principal Mr. P at both Beethoven tree lightings! He has been at the school since ’98 and got the biggest and loudest applause both times! Thank you to BPD AND DPW and Dan Hudson from Mayor’s Office of ONS!
