In light of our collaboration with the Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA) happening tomorrow, February 23rd at 6pm, we wanted to shine a spotlight on our guest speaker, Dr. Bindhu Batra!

Who is Dr. Bindhu Batra?

Dr. Bindhu Batra started at PCCA as a Pharmacy Consultant in 2005 assisting member pharmacies with compounding unique formulations to serve the needs of their patients. She is currently the Director of Academic Affairs, where she coordinates compounding programs and services for pharmacy school students and School of Pharmacy members. She has been a pharmacist for over 20 years and has worked in a variety of practice settings. Her areas of interest include pediatrics and veterinary compounding. Dr. Batra holds a BA in Biology from the University of Texas, a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Houston, and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida.

Dr. Batra's presentation focuses on how pharmacists can help meet patient needs through compounding. This opportunity is for students interested in expanding their understanding of this unique facet of pharmacy and to share what resources are available to them if they choose to pursue this path. Why Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services (CPESN)? πŸͺ

Community pharmacy practice has been changing; however, some want to position themselves to provide enhanced services around the medication use process. Networks of pharmacies have re-engineered themselves to perform services in a standardized and scalable way to position themselves to provide these services. These networks are called Community Pharmacy Enhanced Service Networks. This presentation will cover the reason why these networks have developed and how they operate.

Join us tomorrow (Feb.2nd) at 6pm for our CPESN Discussion w/ Dr. Todd Brown! Zoom meeting link in our bio❗️
