NU Economics Society is a student run academic organization for all who love economics. Come to our meetings every Monday from 6:00pm- 7:00pm in 110 WVH.

The Econ Society is a trio of student-run organizations affiliated with the Northeastern Department of Economics. It serves to promote discussion of relevant economic issues, both in the world and in the department, and encourages the spreading of social and professional opportunities and networking for any student interested in the field of economics. NUES and its student leaders stand with the black community and Black Lives Matter. Black Americans have faced generations of economic, social, and political oppression throughout this nation’s history and we must use our privilege to educate ourselves and listen to marginalized voices in order to stand up against this injustice.

It is the mission of this society to bring attention to the systematic inequality and economic racism that run rampant in our country. For this reason, we, as an organization, must be actively inclusive and highlight the voices of individuals affected by these issues. NUES welcomes all discourse with its members on how we can further contribute to this mission.
